Malavita

A spirited album artwork created by Lee Hodges decorates Malavita's Flamingo Lingo.

Lee created the art for a band called Malavita who asked for a tropical style, a sense of vintage and the inclusion of a flamingo!  The music was ultimately the biggest inspiration for Lee, he adds, "I particularly love drawing flamingos, so that worked out fine. I used various techniques to bring through other layers beneath to give it a colour density and slightly worn, textural feel. The back cover was a case of treating the text like shapes and creating a back cover as interesting as the front."
