Angela Garbes

Food critic Angela Garbes is drawn by Kathryn Rathke for Seattle's City Arts magazine to coincide with the release of her new book.

The local arts & culture magazine features a piece on Garbes' book 'Like a Mother' - a feminist journey through the science and culture of pregnancy. The book aims to answer questions women may have about everything from miscarriage to complicated labours to postpartum changes. Kathryn has succeeded in capturing Angela's warmth and approachability in the portrait.
